Lean Six Sigma
Lean Six Sigma is a process management philosophy focusing on increasing
quality, efficiency and speed while reducing waste, defects and non-
value adding activity.
Lean is based on the concept of
'Kaizen' or Continuous Improvement. Core to Lean is the identification and
eradication of waste while establishing better flow of processes. Cycle Time is
dramatically reduced increasing customer satisfaction while at the same time
reducing Process Time which results in increased efficiency and cost
out.
Six Sigma is a rigorous Project Management methodology focused on
reducing variation and defects within a process. Six Sigma is based on a
set of Quality management tools and supported by
statistical analysis identifies opportunities to improve processes and reduce
defects.
